Our Sizing Explained
Our size runs are from 6 to 18 for women’s garments and S to XXXXL for men’s shirts. Because there’s no standardisation in Australian clothing sizes, your “usual size” may not always match ours. That’s why we recommend using the Size & Fit section on each product page, it includes exact measurements and notes on whether the garment runs oversized, true to size, or slim-fitting.
Women’s Garments
One of the beautiful things about MahaShe is that our designs are crafted to flatter a wide range of shapes and sizes.
Made mostly from 100% cotton, there is little room for movement, yet the beautifully tailored cuts ensure a flattering, comfortable fit. This design precision is what gives our pieces their elegant, form-enhancing look.
Most of our garments are made with pre-shrunk cotton so you don’t need to worry about unexpected shrinkage after washing. Our cotton naturally stretches slightly with wear, much like a favourite pair of jeans, and gently moulds to your shape over time.
Our handloomed cotton styles, which are not pre-shrunk may experience shrinkage during washing, similar to regular cotton fabrics. However, much like denim, handloomed cotton tends to expand back to its original shape with wear. We recommend gently stretching the garment after washing but before drying to help maintain its shape. If you are uncertain about sizing with handloomed cotton, we suggest sizing up to ensure a comfortable fit consistent with your usual MahaShe fit.
Our stretch cotton, provides the perfect blend of comfort and flexibility with 95% cotton and 5% elastane allowing for easy movement while flattering your shape in all the right places.
Men's Shirts
Our men’s shirts are available in sizes S to XXXXL. They are designed with a comfortable, slightly generous fit to allow for movement and breathability, with a cut that flatters a variety of body shapes. Like our women’s range, these shirts are made from natural fibres, so fit and feel will soften with wear. The Size & Fit section for each shirt includes measurements for chest, sleeve, and overall length to help you choose the best size.
